The SA-76A-5 is the most authentic and accurate reproduction of the iconic UREI 1176 Rev A available today.

With a fully discrete signal path following the original schematic, and by using identical 0-12 and 50002 transformers, we have managed to impart the original tone and character found on these vintage compressors.

The 76A-5 features a Sowter 1260 input transformer which is an identical replica of the original UTC O-12 (Ratio 1:1.58 200/500 Ohms) and custom US made output transformers that precisely matches the ratio and frequency response of the original 5002. We have made no compromise in parts such as Vishay capacitors, NOS carbon resistors and matched selected transistors to ensure you will get the best sounding unit without cutting any corners.
