The EQP-1Am is a 1:1 sounding replica of the two of the most beloved equalizers in history, the all tube Pultec EQP-1A and solid-state Pultec EQP-1A3-SS in a single unit. It also includes the mid-band ofthe Pultec MEQ-5. Using Sowter and Moby transformers, Carnhill Inductors and Vishay capacitors this EQ uses the highest quality sounding transformers and parts on the market which are identical to their vintage counterparts providing the most accurate sounding replica to an original Pultec at any price point. The Transformers 

The EQP-1AM uses 2 Sowter audio transformers, one Moby output transformers and an “API-style” custom-made in the US output transformers on the solid state section. It also includes 3 tubes including a 6X4 tube on the power supply famous for its “sag” on these units and two Stam Audio SA-25 Op Amps. Each unit comes with 4 transformers, 3 tubes and 3 inductors.

Sowter and Moby transformers far exceed any other offering available in the market when it comes to matching the low end, sonic timbre and the unique frequency response found on the original units.

Aside from making an exact sounding replica affordable, we also wanted to make it size friendly and therefore decided to make a stereo unit in the same 3U classic faceplate with stereo controls. All switches are matched within a 0.1% tolerance and all tubes are matched for perfect stereo operation with fully stepped switches.
