The Stam Audio SA-49F is a cardiod only and F.E.T version of one of the most desired tube microphones ever made, the Telefunken M49. Unlike modern solid-state replicas (TLM) the SA-49F includes the beloved BV11 output transformer which is critical for it’s legandary tone.

Using the same K49 capsule and a  BV11 transformer replica and width some clever adjustments in the circuit, we have managed to give this microphone the same character as an original M49 at a fraction of the price, making it affordable to everyone.
